MyoGlow safety guide

Safety guide · 6-minute read · Read before your first use

MyoGlow is designed for at-home cosmetic use and is safe for most people when used as directed — you'll feel nothing more than gentle warmth or a light tingling. But it's not suitable for everyone. Here's exactly who should avoid it and how to use it safely.

Who should NOT use MyoGlow

Do not use the device if you:

  • Have epilepsy
  • Have a heart condition
  • Have a tumor or cancer
  • Have excessive dental fillings or bridgework
  • Have had recent Botox or fillers (follow your provider's guidance on timing)
  • Use a pacemaker
  • Have metal plates or pins
  • Are pregnant or planning pregnancy

If any of these apply to you, do not use MyoGlow without first consulting your doctor.

Using it safely

  • Never submerge in water. Don't use it in the bath or shower. The head can contact serums and be wiped clean, but the device must never be submerged.
  • Remove all jewelry and piercings from the treatment area first, so nothing gets caught or damaged.
  • Always use a serum for smooth glide — dragging on dry skin is uncomfortable and less effective.
  • Start gently if you have sensitive skin — shorter sessions first, building up as you get comfortable.
  • Space out professional treatments — if you use treatments like Profhilo, wait 3–4 weeks before using MyoGlow on the same area.

What sensations are normal?

During use, you'll feel a gentle warmth and possibly a slight tingling — this is normal and indicates the device is working. It should never be painful. Even on the highest settings, you should feel nothing more than warmth or a mild tingle. If anything feels genuinely uncomfortable, stop and reduce the intensity or session length.

If you have sensitive skin

MyoGlow is generally well tolerated across skin types when used as directed. If your skin is sensitive, ease in with shorter sessions, patch-test any new serum, and avoid ingredients you know trigger a reaction. Discontinue use and consult a professional if you notice persistent redness or irritation.

An honest note on claims

MyoGlow improves the appearance of skin — it's a cosmetic device, not a medical one, and it's not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. If you have any health concern, a chat with your doctor before starting is the responsible move.
